Important Information regarding the end of support for Windows 10 and your Toolbase machines
We would like to inform you about important developments regarding the use of Windows for your Toolbase machines.
1) End of Windows 10 Support
Microsoft has announced that support for Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025. From that date, no more free security updates will be provided. This means the risk of security vulnerabilities and system failures significantly increases if Windows 10 is still used. For businesses that require security updates after the end date, Microsoft will offer paid Extended Security Updates (ESU). However, this option is only a short-term solution.
2) Recommendation: Update to Windows 11
To ensure the smooth and secure operation of your Toolbase machines, we strongly recommend updating to Windows 11. Windows 11 offers not only enhanced security features but also higher performance and a more modern user interface. This update will ensure that your machines remain compatible with the latest standards in the future.
3) Need for Assessment and Hardware Upgrade Options
Please note that an update to Windows 11 is only possible if the PC installed in your machine meets the hardware requirements for Windows 11. This will require an individual assessment of each machine. If the requirements are not met, we offer the option to upgrade to new hardware with better performance and future-proofing.
